After three years of tremendous success in Braga, the Allianz CUP Final Four will be moving to Leiria, which will be the main stage of the competition in the next season.

This season, from the 16th to the 23rd of January, the three fixtures that will dictate the new Winter Champions will be held at the heart of Portugal.

The games will be played at Estádio Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, inaugurated in November 2003, being one of the venues of the biggest sporting event ever in Portuguese soil: Euro 2004.

The first semi-final is scheduled for the 19th of January, where the second finalist will be known in the following day. The grand final is scheduled for the 23rd of January (Saturday).

This football fest, however, begins long before the initial whistle, as the renewed Fan Zone, always filled with new activities, will kick off this competition in the city centre of Leiria, on January 16.

It is worth remembering that this season the Allianz CUP will be held in a different format, being played by eight teams in seven exciting matches.

To get a spot in the competition, the Liga NOS teams have to be placed on the top six spots of the championship at the end of the last turn in November. As for the LigaPro clubs, the teams occupying the first two places in this same turn will be selected.

Having met the eight teams that will compete in the Allianz CUP, the quarter finals will take place between December 15 and 17, where the four clubs that qualify for the next round, will travel to Leiria to fight for the Winter Champions title.
