João Carlos received his Burger King Forward of the Month award: "I want to be the top scorer of the Liga Portugal SABSEG".

The striker received the award for March, a period in which he scored on four occasions

It's not just now that the A. Académica striker is on a hot streak. João Carlos was again the Burger King Forward of the Month in Liga Portugal SABSEG, this time for the month of March, after having already won the distinction in February.

"I am happy to receive this award for the second time in a row, it is the result of my efforts and it has paid off. I also dedicate this award to my teammates, as this is a team effort and without them, it would not be possible. It's true that it's an individual award, but we all play on the pitch, making assists, making passes and that helps me a lot too," said the 27-year-old Brazilian forward, who also said it was time to focus on individual goals.

"I am focused on being the best player in the league and achieving that goal. I want to score more goals, and I will keep that grip on the field. I want to be the top scorer of the Liga Portugal SABSEG", concluded the striker who has already scored 17 goals in this edition of the competition.

The Coaraci-native scored four goals during this period, precisely against FC Porto B, SL Benfica B and CD Nacional, having racked up 29,01% of the votes from the head managers of the competition.
