Vitória SC win the Youth Prize

Award that goes for teams that finished third in their respective groups in the first phase of Liga Portugal Youth

Vitória SC are the winners of the Youth Prize, after defeating SC Braga 4-3 in the penalty shootout, following a 2-2 draw at the end of regular time.

The Minho derby started better for Vitória SC, with Simão Marques opening the scoring. SC Braga responded in the second half and turned the game around with goals from Diogo and Rodrigo Silva. However, just before the final whistle, Simão Marques scored again, sending the match to penalties, where the team from Guimarães prevailed 4-3, winning the trophy regarding the teams that finished third in their respective groups in the first phase of Liga Portugal Youth.

In the main draw for the title of champion of this 1st edition of Liga Portugal Youth, the final will be played between Sporting CP and FC Porto, who triumphed in the semi-finals against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Betis Balompié. In the first match, the French took the lead, but Pedro Comério and Capendja Silva scored the goals that put the young Lions in the title-deciding match. FC Porto and Real Betis tied 3-3 in regular time, with the winner being decided in a penalty shootout. Alex Demianciuc, with three saves, shone in the Blue and White goal, securing advancement to the grand final of this Liga Portugal Youth.

The grand celebration continues this Sunday afternoon at the Estádio do Bessa Séc. XXI! With free entry, in addition to the football on the pitch, all visitors can fill out a passport and stand a chance to win unique prizes, such as a PlayStation 5, tickets to Rock in Rio, or official team kits! There will also be giveaways of other prizes, like match balls or official jerseys, every 30 minutes.
