Last Sunday, the Directorate-General of Health issued a technical input regarding the requirements for the return of Liga NOS to competition, following the Government decision from April 30.
It is important to remember that, on that date, the Executive declared this professional competition as one of the activities authorized to leave lockdown.
Over the past few days, various entities have held successive alignment meetings so that the resumption can be done safely and with all the protective measures that mitigate the risks of returning to activity, which will then be followed by a phase of stadium supervisions to ascertain which ones will effectively meet the requirements issued in the technical input.
It is anticipated that this joint work of DGH, FPF and Liga Portugal will serve as a pattern for the resumption of other economic activities, with the intention that this professional competition will provide an example of the good practices that this pandemic imposed on us.
In order to ensure that stadiums are stringently supervised and that medical tests are carried out on all professionals involved in the games and in their organisation, Matchweek 25 of Liga NOS is set to resume on June 4, 2020.
