Best of December: Pedro Porro wins Best Defender of the Month in Liga NOS

Sporting CP's defender was the managers of the competition's favourite to win the award

In a voting made by the Liga NOS head managers, Pedro Porro (Sporting CP) was named Best Defender of the Month in the competition.

The Spanish full-back, who also won this distinction in November, racked up 23,00% of the votes, thus surpassing the competition of Ricardo Esgaio (SC Braga), who got 15,00%, finishing second for the third consecutive month. Finishing the podium, with 8,00%, we have Oleg, former FC Paços de Ferreira's player, who moved to Olympiakos FC at the start of the year.

It should also be mentioned that Pedro Porro, who is under his debut season in Portugal, has scored a goal during the last month, against FC Famalicão, and helped Sporting CP maintain their clear lead in the Liga NOS.
