Basso, centre-back of FC Arouca, has won the award for Defender of the Month in Liga Portugal Bwin, after receiving a total of 18,80% of the votes from the head managers of the competition.

The Brazilian defender surpassed the competition of Grimaldo (SL Benfica), with 13,68%, and Tomás Araújo (Gil Vicente FC) with 11,97%.

Moreover, Basso, played whole three matches during the period in question, in an unbeate run where the Arouquenses added two draws and a triumph.
