FC Porto secured a 1-0 victory against GD Chaves on Friday in the 15th matchday of Liga Portugal Betclic. On a night where the presence of 41,529 fans ensured an 83 percent occupancy rate at the Estádio do Dragão, the home team celebrated the win with a goal from João Mário.

The scoring opened in the 58th minute, with Pepê providing the assist for João Mário's left-footed shot. GD Chaves came close to equalizing in the 81st minute when Benny's header hit the crossbar.

With this victory, FC Porto temporarily equals Sporting in second place with 34 points. GD Chaves remains at the bottom of the standings with 10 points.
