Jota puts Vitória SC ahead in the first leg

Vitória SC played their first official match of the 2024-25 season and won 1-0 against FC Floriana in Malta, in the 2nd qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League. Jota was the man of the match, scoring the decisive goal.

In Rui Borges' debut as the head coach of the team from Guimarães, a well-known figure stood out. Jota, who has been solidifying his position in the Guimarães squad and earned a call-up to the National Team, took advantage of a lapse in the Maltese defense and gave the Portuguese side the lead in the tie.

The second leg will take place next Thursday, August 1, at Estádio D. Afonso Henriques, at 8:15 PM.
