Boavista FC beats Gil Vicente FC (2-1) to win for the second time in this competition

Boavista FC returned to winning ways by defeating Gil Vicente FC, ending their winless streak since the first matchday of Liga Portugal Betclic.

At the start of the second half, Filipe Ferreira struck the crossbar with a powerful shot, allowing Vukotic to tap in the rebound, putting Boavista ahead.

The momentum continued, and three minutes later, Miguel Reisinho played a through ball to Joel Silva, who capitalised on a missed clearance by the home side to score Boavista's second. It was their first open-play goal of the season.

Gil Vicente ramped up the pressure and brought on Cauê in the 69th minute, who managed to pull one back three minutes later. However, Boavista held on, taking all three points and moving to nine points, just one behind the Barcelos team.
