The Estádio Municipal Engº Manuel Branco Teixeira in Chaves hosted a thrilling encounter in Matchday 15 of Liga Portugal 2 Meu Super, ending in a 2-2 draw.

CD Tondela, the league leaders and still unbeaten in the competition, struck first in the 34th minute. Full-back Tiago Manso found the back of the net after a chance created by Roberto.

GD Chaves responded before halftime, with defender Bruno Rodrigues heading home like a seasoned striker from a cross delivered by Sanca on the right. The Flavienses then turned the game around early in the second half (47’) through a precise strike by Pedro Pinho.

CD Tondela refused to give up, determined to preserve their unbeaten streak. They eventually equalized with a header from Angolan forward Miro, who was quick to connect with a cross from the right, again by Tiago Manso.

With the draw, CD Tondela maintains their position at the top of the table with 31 points, though they could be matched by FC Penafiel, who play in Torres Vedras on Sunday. GD Chaves now has 25 points, sharing third place with Académico and SCU Torreense, the latter with a game in hand.
